The Cookie Fest

On the scheduled Cookie Fest Day, members pack up the home made holiday cookies for local Community organizations as the Acton Senior Center, and the Acton Community Supper and also for the local firehouses.

Cookie Fest 2010

After packing all the cookies, members enjoy tea and cookies and a holiday sing-along with local harpist, Rebecca Swett.

Please enjoy the pictures from December 1, 2010. Approximately, 100+ containers of cookies were donated to the community. The Chairperson, Carol Bull and mentor, Nancy Van Dolman provided a wonderful service day.

Pie Sale

Each fall members are requested to bake two or more apple or other pies to contribute to the Saturday morning pie sale, which is usually the second or third Saturday in October in front of the Clubhouse. Pies are $10.00 each and sell out rapidly. Members are given the pie plate to bake in, at the October general meeting. Members, who choose not to bake, may make a cash donation to the Club. Proceeds from the Pie Sale go towards the Acton Woman's Club Acton Boxborough High school Scholarship.

The 2010 Pie Committee enjoyed a fun sale carrying the antique pie sale sign up and down in front of the club house. All Pies sold! More needed!

Thank you to Judy Werner and the Pie Sale Committee!

Holiday Luncheon

The 2011 Holiday Luncheon, under the able direction of Nancy Van Dolman and Mary Lou Bowry, boasted the largest attendance ever, (64+ people attended) at the Nawshawtuc Country Club in Concord. Members enjoyed a delicious luncheon, the fun entertainment of Charles Bull leading a holiday sign-a-long and the beautiful decorations of the Club House.

The Holiday Luncheon, usually the second Wednesday in December, is an opportunity to relax and socialize.
